Signing Time with Reagan & Riley

This is not the best show of how good they have gotten. We were just finishing up dinner and I thought I'd see if they would show me some signs. They did a lot... and then we found the camera. They were a bit burned out the second time around and kinda got onto the whole peek-a-boo or as we call it ....where's Rae/where's Ri game. Still, thought I'd share it. Please ignore the large pile of clothes/garbage bag of clothes in the background I'm currently working on getting rid of things the girls have outgrown. I have two huge garbage bags full and I'm not anywhere close to being done. With four daughter's I doubt it will get better any time soon. Makes for a good yard sale though. Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Baby Signing Time

Many of you probably know from past posts that Josh and I use sign language with the babies. We have been signing just a few basic signs with them since they were probably somewhere around a year old. Well, about a month ago I decided to start looking for some videos for the babies. I didn't want just any video...they really aren't into watching TV except when we're in the car going somewhere. They see the TV screens and point. This is going to be a huge asset this summer when we hit the road on vacation. Anyhow, back to the point. I didn't want just any video I wanted something educational. So I decided to do a Google search. I came across the Baby Signing Time as well as "Your Baby Can Read". After checking out these sites I was so excited. I haven't purchased "Your Baby Can Read" ...yet although I have been keeping my eyes on a good deal so I'm sure we will be adding them soon. However, we did buy "Baby Signing Time" and for babies who don't usually pay one bit of attention to the TV, as soon as they hear the music they are running to watch Alex and Leah. They love these videos and so do the big girls. Honestly, I love them too. We watch them a lot. Especially on the road. So here's my testimonial. These videos are amazing. The babies have been watching them for a couple of weeks now and they know TONS of signs. More than I realized. Yesterday, I was playing with the babies and I decided to see if they would show me any new signs. Really I expected Rae to. She signs all of the time, but my Ri she started signing things I had no idea she could sign. Things like play, friend, dog, cat, clean, dirty, yes, no, daddy...I was completely shocked. She has even started speaking more. Rae almost always speaks the words as she signs where Ri tends not to talk "words" as much. Well, that's changing quickly. Today she was saying no, baby and please. Which she also knows the signs for. Tonight I ordered the next 3 volumes. They are going to love them. If you have any interest in teaching your baby or even older child signs you will not be disappointed! Signing time is above and beyond what I had hoped for. I'll try to get video soon. It so cute. Rae's new word/words is Ri Ri. It is so cute. The other morning I was getting ready for work and I could hear Rae saying Ri Ri ...Ri Ri over and over. When I went to get her up Riley was still sleeping. She was trying to wake her sister up. Little Turkey!!

Easter Picture

Look how tired my girls are. We had to get up reaaalllly early for church Sunday. I didn't even get a picture of all four girls with their baskets because by the time we got the babies up we were rushing around like crazy.

Seriously this is the best picture I have of all my girls together on Easter how sad. What's worse...not one family picture. So sad!

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter. Everything was perfect. We went to church, spent time with family and had great food. The weather could have been warmer but seriously who's complaining. What a gift that the Lord gave us all. I'll post pics. later. Hope you all had a Wonderful Easter!

Chicken Riley

Riley my little chicken. She's afraid of just about everything. She's afraid of things my big girls where never afraid of i.e. the vacuum cleaner. She was afraid of her Halloween costume, she's afraid of her rocking horse, the girl at Chuck E. Cheese who stamps your hand, Josh's grandma, certain stuffed animals. Let's face it my Ri Ri is a CHICKEN. Here's a little example... the other day we took Chloe to Chuck E. Cheese for her birthday. Well, Chuck was walking toward our table when he saw that probably oh so familiar stay away from me you huge mouse look that Riley was sending his way so he stayed back away from our table. Did. Not. Matter. Check out the picture above...

I've got nothing

As I look back to the last time I wrote an actual post I feel bad. Wow, it's been a while but still I feel I have nothing. I use to love my blog so much but as of lately I have no motivation. I'm tired. I'm busy. I just don't feel like it. There has been a lot of things going on here...A LOT. My hubby has had a tough couple of weeks with work. It's hard to see him go through some of these things. It's hard to know a family is suffering. Suffering that is likely to never go away. I hug my babies all 4 of them tighter each day. My mind constantly goes to Manny's family. You see in our little town a baby 15 months old has died recently. He died from child abuse. My heart has been broken into pieces. I have cried many tears for this family. I think of the day this happened how I was at home cuddling and playing with my girls only two months older, what Manny must have been going through. I have seen my husband work countless hours trying to get justice for Manny's family. It's just not right to see a tiny casket and know how senseless this death is. There is not a day that has gone by that I haven't thought of this family. I am at such a loss. I believe Manny is in Jesus' arms now and that he will never hurt again. I believe that God cried the day Manny was beaten. Please pray for this family, I don't know how this mother will ever move on. The mother's boyfriend has been arrested and charged with murder along with several other charges.

Happy Birthday to my little Chlo Chlo

I cannot believe you are SEVEN years old. Chloe my sweetie...what a blessing you are. Mommy, Daddy, and your sisters love you sooooo much. You are such a cuddler...you love love love to give hugs and kisses and will not go to bed without getting at least two from everyone in the house. Except for maybe Makenna because she is so past giving her younger sister who is 7 a kiss. We make her though... ;0). You are a very giving little girl. You love your twins and take such good care of them. You worry about them like a little mother. You are such a smart little girl... you wow me and daddy, on your report card you got a 115% in spelling because you get all of your bonus words correct (which you can't study for because your teacher chooses them the day of the test). I wish you weren't growing up so fast but we are enjoying every minute of it.

Where'd it go Rae?

This video is so cute I had to post it. Josh took it today while I was working...I love when he captures something cute I may have missed. Thanks Honey! *Side note ~ my little angel took a nasty spill tonight and busted her lip open realllllly bad. She bled quite a bit and I'm not sure but it looks like she bruised her gums above one of her top teeth...poor baby. She wouldn't really let me look at it. I'll try to get a picture. I can hear her crying in her crib again so this has to be short and sweet...enjoy the video. I'm going to go get my baby and snuggle her.
