You gonna eat that?

Yesterday morning I videoed the babies a little. They are doing so much now. Reagan says mommy, cookie, baby, bye bye, hi, chloe, na-na (kenna), daddy, bell (tinkerbell), no-no, and probably more I just can't think right now. Riley is not talking as much and by that I mean recognizable words. She actually "talks" all of the time. Her words are mama, dada, bell, no, and bye bye. They both sing the binki song....for those of you not familiar with the binki song which i'd be really surprised if you were considering it's a song Josh composed himself it goes a little something like this...binki, where are you (repeat~while crawling around on the floor looking for a binki or usually two). As easy as this song may seem you must sing the words not speak the words. It's adorable I'll have to try and capture it on video but please don't hold your breath it may take a while. They are not much into the performing thing. Both girls also are pretty good with their signing although again they weren't into the performing mood during the above video. They sign please, thank you, eat, milk and more. They have both had non stop runny noses which I finally figured out why ...TEETH four each all at the same time. Poor babies. There is my little update.

Movie Reviews

Sunday afternoon me and my sis-in-law took the "big" kids to the movies. We decided to see The Spiderwick Chronicles. It was a great movie. A tad bit on the scary side for little ones although I was forewarned by another friend that said it had "scary parts". Chloe sat on my lap the whole movie and took one of her webkinz to cover her eyes just in case. Makenna really really liked it and so did I. I'm definitely giving it two thumbs up just be careful taking children under the age of 5 maybe even a little older if they scare easy.
next up...

Seriously one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I'm an action girl especially when special effects are involved so really I LOVED this movie. Josh and I got to go out on a date for Valentine's Day (thanks grandma Rita for keeping the kids...overnight to boot!) and we decided to go to a movie that didn't involve talking animals. ;0) We both really didn't know a whole lot about this movie when we walked into the theater but we were definitely glad we picked it. Awesome movie!! It had everything suspense, action, comedy, romance (kinda). This movie Makenna could have seen. It was clean okay there was a teensy tiny bit I'm talkin' blink and you miss it of ...ahem you know but barely and we couldn't remember any bad words...say what? Yup. We will most definitely be adding this movie to our DVD collection. Although to be honest I've considered going to see it again before that. It was that good. So if you get a chance it's definitely worth the price of admission.
*Two Thumbs way UP*

Busy Day

Yesterday was a BUSY day...I worked from 9am-1am left work to pick up the babies, quick do their hair so that we could dash off to the doctors office for their second round of flu shots. Daddy couldn't come along because he had court. Shoulda put the babies in the stroller but thought that could be just as much work as getting them to walk/carry them. Opted against dragging the stroller out ~ still not sure that was a good decision. Get the babies in the building not too bad, getting them to get on the elevator TOGETHER that's another story. Finally get into the doctors office they play a little ~ not bad. Get called back and then came the shots. Actually, they both did really well. The nurse gave Rae her shot first and then Riley's nurse gave her her shot. I was able to comfort Rae and by the time Ri got her shot Rae had already stopped crying it's just Rae didn't want me to put her down to comfort Ri. Where's a stroller when you need one (in the car cuz I thought it would be too much work, HA). Anywhoo, I just sat there with them until they were both okay and then we headed out. Of course they didn't want to leave when they notice the toys in the waiting room so I had to coaxed them out with good 'ole Cheerios. Loaded them back into the van and head to pick up Chloe from school. It was D day, the cast was coming off. So yet again I had to unload the babies mind you it's very cold outside and go into Chloe's school to pick her up. I know what your thinking. Yes....I did take the stroller this time, but thanks for asking :0). Of course the school doors don't have the handicap button that automatically opens the doors so that was fun. Also, the office is down a flight of steps but Chloe's teacher happened to be in the hall on her way to pick up her class from music so she watched the babies while I signed Chloe out. Finally, get Chloe and head back to the van. Get everyone loaded back in + the stroller and head to the surgeon's office. Get the stroller back out load babies make sure Chloe's out and head into the doctor's office. By this time the babies are getting a little tried of the in and out, really couldn't blame them. They didn't want to stay in their stroller so I decide to let them out...I know, I had a lapse of judgement. Two babies and lots of magazines not good. Don't fret a few seconds later Josh walks through the door...thank you Lord. He helped me load the babies back up and he stayed with Chloe to get her cast off. This turned out to be a very good thing for me. It seems Chloe's pins the ones they put in her elbow to piece the growth plate back together had worn a whole through her skin and were sticking out. I called Josh (don't remember why) and I could hear her crying in the background. That would've been tough. We had absolutely no idea...Chloe hadn't even complained. The doctor had trouble getting the cast off because the blood had made the cast stick to her arm. They ended up having to remove the pins yesterday too because they were coming through the skin. Sorry, I know that's gross. By the time they got home Chloe was fine and was asking me if I'd post a picture of her pins on her blog. That's my girl!

Playing in the waiting room.

Uh-Oh Reagan heard the nurse call her name.

*A little update on Kenna...she was not feeling so well and missed the morning portion of school but is doing better tonight. I've been asked what was wrong...Kenna is very sensitive so I'll just say that she had some abnormal bleeding. Very scary...but we will keep an eye on her and continue to follow up with the doctor. Thank you again for your prayers.

Please say a little prayer

I will be taking Makenna to the doctor tomorrow for something that could be very serious or not so much. I am praying hard for the latter and asking God to take this worry from me. I love my girl so much I cannot imagine having to go through something so serious. I will try to share more later but for now I just ask that you pray for my baby. Thank you.

Replay

I posted this video before quite some time ago so I thought I'd post it again for all of my new friends. It's a long one...sorry.

Not exactly what I had in mind...

when I bought this stroller for the twins. I was actually thinking that they would really enjoy pushing their baby dolls around. The funny thing is as soon as we took it out of the box and put the wheels on Josh said, "so how long do you think until one of them climbs in it?" Of course, I said I didn't think they would even think to climb in themselves. HA! They didn't even have it one full day and there they were. The bad thing is now they will stand in it to reach for something out of their reach that clearly they aren't allowed to have. Those little monkeys!!! We may have to take the stroller away....for a little while.

I hear this A LOT

You've got your hands full!

Yep, and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!!!

Seriously, are these not the cutest???

I mean really are these not the cutest little socks!!! I know a little set of twins that will soon be receiving a package in the mail with these adorable Trumpette Minnie Socks in it. I must also say that I am one excited mommy because I won them...on EBAY (so that means I had to pay ;0) but they were A LOT less expensive than if I would have bought them from an online shop. Yeah, and most places were sold out. So I'm pretty excited. Trumpette makes a whole line of adorable baby socks for boys and girls...go ahead google Trumpette socks and take a look but I'll warn you if you have a baby/toddler your gonna wanna buy 'em. They have boy and girl styles. I have to say it just one more time ... ADORABLE.

My babies got new babies

Riley's baby

Reagan's baby

Rae couldn't wait to get her baby out.

Riley wasn't sure which one she wanted...she ended up wanting BOTH.

Riley giving her baby a big kiss!

Rae loved her baby especially the hat and bikini. She gave her baby lots of kisses, too!

I had a business lunch the other day...that will most definitely turn into girlfriends having lunch one day I know it! I absolutely love my job and love meeting new people that end up being great new friends. Anyhoo, there is a really cute/unique toy store close to where we had lunch so I popped in to just take a "look" around. Yeah right ... me just look :0) I can't help myself. So I was actually looking for something I saw on ebay that I wanted to get the girls and thought that maybe just maybe this store would have it. (Oh yeah, I didn't get it on ebay because it was a buy it now only item and I procrastinated...bummer). So unfortunately the store did not have it but they did have the cutest baby dolls! I had had had to buy the babies a doll (each). See I didn't end up getting them one for Christmas because the original dolls I wanted to get them sold out...imagine that Christmas time and something sold out ;0). We finally got the cradles we ordered them from PBK for Christmas although we had to send Riley's back 3x's because the personalization was wrong. So now they have their babies to put in their new cradles. It is so cute they love to play with them. Actually, I think Rae and Ri were more excited to open their dolls yesterday then they would have been at Christmas. As soon as I handed Rae her doll she said "baby" as clear as day for the very first time. Melted my heart and Josh's too. One little note about these dolls ~ they have soft bodies but they are waterproof. How cool is that! (they can take them in the bath tub with them).
